I used to draw, paint, illustrate, and scribble. Maybe I am not that good enough to be a professional comics llustrator. But now I have shaky hands and don't have enough patience about the details in my drawings, I decided to take photography as my art, and the camera as my medium. I've always wanted to do this. It's a dream come true. With the advent of digital cameras and devices, I finally got my hands a decent DSLR camera. When I was in my teens, I spent a few hours looking at photographs on music and fashion magazines checking out the details of pictures. These days, even when I go out while driving or walking down the street, I look at billboards, posters, and banners that I see everywhere that have photographs or graphics on them.
I try to practice and study hard as much as I could...I'm only self-taught. I buy books and magazines that can aid me or guide me since it's hard to find professional photographers who can spare his/her time to teach me or give me advice.
Gears and accessories are kinda pricey, but that's not gonna stop me. I know there are dozens of alternatives in using expensive equipment or tools. What matters to me is the creativity and talent, and the desire to stand out from the rest (we have millions of aspiring photographers these days and most of them are equipped with the latest and high-end gizmos and cameras)...But as they say, only the hardcore will survive and become triumphant!
Goodluck to all of us!
